CLIOHWORLD Third Plenary Conference and working meeting
Pisa 19 - 20 February 2010
Dear CLIOHWORLD member, Dear Friend, We wish to confirm that, as announced in the Bochum Meeting, the Third CLIOHWORLD Plenary Conference and Working Meeting will take place in Pisa, on 19-20 February 2010. The Pisa meeting will have as its central theme the link between Learning/Teaching and Research in History in general and specifically in the areas of special interest for CLIOHWORLD: History of the EU and of European Integration, World/Global History, the e-Revolution, EU-Turkey Dialogue, and Regional and Transnational History.
There will be a public part of the meeting, with invited experts, interesting speakers and important guests, and also time for the Working Groups to continue their work programmes. We will send you a draft programme as soon as it is ready.
The meeting will be held at the History Department of the University of Pisa, and the accommodation will be in the Grand Hotel Duomo, very close to the famous Leaning Tower and Cathedral (Duomo) and other monuments of the Piazza dei Miracoli.
We ask you please to register immediately and in any case by 15 January 2010 at the latest.
As you know, it is very important for us to have your registration so that we can fix the rooms and the prices for hotel and meals.We hope that you will all be coming to Pisa, and are sure that it will be a very interesting productive and enjoyable meeting.
